Wattle Stitch Rectangle
Yarn: 61 yds/57 m of Lion Brand Basic Stitch yarn or any size 4 medium/worsted weight yarn.
Materials: US Size I/9 (5.5 mm) crochet hook, Yarn Needle, scissors, tape measure
Size: 7” (17.78 cm) X 9” (22.86 cm)
Gauge: 16 sts x 18 rows = 4″ (10.16 cm)
Abbreviations and Stitches (U.S. Terms): ch – chain, dc – double crochet, rep – repeat, sc – single crochet, sk – skip, st(s) – stitch(es), tch – turning ch
Notes: Pattern is written in U.S. terms. Ch-1 counts as a stitch.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Ch 30
Row 1: Sk 2 sts, *(sc, ch 1, dc) in the next ch, sk 2 chs; rep from * to the last 2 chs, sk 1 ch, sc in the last ch, ch 1, turn. (11 sc, 9 dc, 9 ch-1 sps)
Row 2: Sk first sc and dc, *(sc, ch 1, dc) in the next ch-1 sp; rep from * across, ending with a sc in the top of tch, ch 1 turn. (11 sc, 9 dc, 9 ch-1 sps)
Rep row 2 until the rectangle reaches 9” (22.86 cm)
Fasten off, Weave in ends, and block.
