Alpine Ridge Scarf

November 1, 2026

Welcome back to the Seasons of Scarves collection! If you’ve been following along, you know this four-part series is all about celebrating rich textures, timeless designs, and cozy accessories that bring comfort to every season.

After kicking off the collection with the gentle, rhythmic texture of the Suzette Stitch Scarf, pattern number two takes things up a notch in both structure and warmth. Say hello to The Alpine Ridge Scarf.

This pattern creates interlocking raised diamonds and vertical ridges, by working front post stitches over standard stitches,  The result is a heavy, squishy fabric that traps warmth effortlessly while offering a polished, modern look on both sides.

As the second entry in the Seasons of Scarves collection, The Alpine Ridge Scarf is best suited for a confident beginner crocheter looking to expand their technique. It features deep, raised ridges that give the fabric incredible stitch definition and a dense, cozy feel while maintaining a supple drape that wraps comfortably around the neck.

This Alpine stitch looks gorgeous in almost any yarn, use a solid or tonal to highlight the stitch definition, or grab a multicolored or self-striping yarn to let the texture blend with shifting colors.

What’s Next?
With the Suzette Stitch Scarf and The Alpine Ridge Scarf finished, we are halfway through the Seasons of Scarves series! Grab your hook and yarn to get started on this second design, and stay tuned for pattern number three coming soon.

Have a hooky day!
