Crochet Flowers
Yarn Patons: Grace in various colors or any DK yarn
Materials: US Size F-5 (3.75 mm) crochet hook, yarn needle, scissors.
Size: Flower #1 -3 ¼” (8.25 cm) X 3 ¼” (8.25 cm)
Flower #2 -2 ½” (6.35 cm) X 2 ½” (6.35 cm)
Flower #3- 2” (5 cm) X 2” (5 cm)
Flower #4- 3” (7.62 cm) X 3” (7.62 cm)
Stitch Guide: beg – beginning, ch(s) – chain(s), dc – double crochet, hdc-half double crochet, rep – repeat, sc- single crochet, sl st – slip stitch, st(s) – stitch(es), tr-treble crochet
Special Stitches: Puff stitch- *yarn over, insert hook into stitch indicated and pull up a loop; repeat from * three more times, yarn over and pull through all 9 loops on the hook, ch 1 to close the stitch

Flower #1 (3 ¼” (8.25 cm) X 3 ¼” (8.25 cm)
Make a magic circle
Rnd 1: Ch 3, hdc in circle, ch 1, (hdc, ch 1) 8 more times, join to beg ch-3, fasten off. (10 hdc, 10 ch-1 sps)
Rnd 2: Join yarn to any ch-1 sp, ch 3, dc in the same sp, ch 1, *2 dc in the next sp, ch 1; rep from * around, join to beg ch-3, fasten off. (20 dc, 10 ch-1 sps)
Rnd 3: Join yarn to any ch-1 sp, *ch 4, sc in the next ch sp; rep from * around, join to beg ch-4, do not fasten off. (10 ch-4 sps, 10 sc)
Rnd 4: Sl st in ch-4 sp, 6 hdc in the same sp as join, sc in the next sc, *6 hdc in the next ch-4 sp, sc in the next sc; rep from * around, fasten off, weave in the ends. (60 hdc, 10 sc)
Flower #2 (2 ½” (6.35 cm) X 2 ½” (6.35 cm)
Make a magic circle
Rnd 1: Ch 3, 9 dc in the ring, join to beg ch-3, fasten off. (10 dc)
Rnd 2: Join new yarn in any sp between dc sts from rnd 1, 2 sc in the same sp, *2 sc in the space between the next 2 sts; rep from * around, fasten off. (20 sc)
Rnd 3: Join new yarn to any st, *(sl st, hdc) in the same st as join, (dc, tr, ch 1) in the next st, (tr, dc) in the next st, (hdc, sl st) in the next st; rep from * around, join to beg hdc, finish off, weave in ends. (10 sl sts, 10 hdc, 10 dc, 10 tr, 5 ch-1 sps)
Flower #3 (2” (5 cm) X 2” (5 cm)
Make a magic circle
Rnd 1: Ch 1, 8 sc in the circle, join to first sc, fasten off. (8 sc)
Rnd 2: Join yarn to any sc, puff st in the same sp, *puff st in the next sp; rep from * around, join to the top of the first puff st, fasten off. (8 puff sts)
Rnd 3: Join yarn to any ch-1 sp (the sp between the puff sts), 3 dc in the same sp, ss in the top of the next puff st, *3 dc in the next ch-1 sp, ss in the top of the next puff st; rep from * around, join to beg dc, fasten off, weave in ends. (24 dc, 8 ss)
Flower #4 (3” (7.62 cm) X 3” (7.62 cm)
Make a magic circle
Rnd 1: Ch 1, 11 sc in the circle, join to 1st sc. (12 sc)
Rnd 2: Ch 1 sc in the next st and in each st around, join to beg sc, fasten off. (12 sc)
Rnd 3: Join yarn to any sc, *ch 13, ss in the next st; rep from * around, join to the 1st ch of beg ch-13, fasten off, weave in ends. (12 ch-13 sps, 12 ss)
