Striped Scarf
Yarn: Any Dk #3 yarn that is not cotton, the yarns used for the scarves in the photos:
Materials: US Size G/6 (4 mm) crochet hook and F/5 (3.75mm) crochet hook, yarn needle, scissors, and measuring tape
Finished size: 5″ (12.7 cm) X 64” (162.56 cm) not including fringe
Gauge: 15 sc and 20 rows = 4” (10.16 cm)
Abbreviations and stitches (US Terms): ch – chain, rep – repeat, RS-right side, sc – single crochet, st(s) – stitch(es)
Notes: The ch-1 at the beginning of the row does not count as a stitch
G/6 (4 mm) crochet hook is used for the beginning chain row only
INSTRUCTIONS:
With color A and size G/6 (4mm) crochet hook chain 21
Row 1 (RS): switch to F/5 (3.75mm) crochet hook, sc in the 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn. (20 sc)
Rows 2-25: Ch 1, sc in same st, and in each st across, turn. (20 sc)
*After row 25 fasten off and change to color B
Rows 26-27: Ch 1, sc in same st, and in each st across, turn. (20 sc)
*After row 27 fasten off and change to color A.
Rows 28-29: Ch 1, sc in same st, and in each st across, turn. (20 sc)
*After row 29 fasten off and change to color B.
Rows 30-31: Ch 1, sc in same st, and in each st across, turn. (20 sc)
*After row 31 fasten off and change to color A.
Repeat rows 2-31, 8 more times
Repeat rows 2-25, 1 more time, fasten off
Weave in ends and for best results block
Add fringe if desired
