Yarn: Purl Soho Cotton Chirp dk yarn or any size 3 dk yarn
Materials: U.S. Size G-6 (4mm) crochet hook, measuring tape, yarn needle, scissors
Finished Size: 4 in x 4 in (10cm x 10cm) square
Gauge: 24 sts x 14 rows = 4” (10.16 cm)
Difficulty: Intermediate
Abbreviations and Stitches (U.S. Terms): beg – beginning, ch-chain, dc-double crochet, hdc-half double crochet, rep – repeat, sc-single crochet, sk-skip, sl st – slip stitch, sp – space, tr-treble crochet, yo-yarn over
Special Stitches:
Cluster Stitch- (Yo, insert hook in st indicated and pull up a loop, yo and pull through 2 loops) 4 times, yo and pull through all 5 remaining loops on hook.
Puff stitch– *yo, insert hook into st indicated and pull up a loop, * rep from * to* four more times, yo and pull through all 9 loops on the hook, ch 1 to close stitch.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Make a Magic ring
Rnd 1: Ch 3, work 15 dc in the ring; join with a sl st to the top of the beg ch 3, fasten off. (16 dc)
Rnd 2: Join yarn with a sl st to any dc, ch 1, puff st in the same st as join and, in each dc around, join with a sl st to the first puff st, fasten off. (16 puff sts)
Rnd 3: Join yarn with a sl st in the ch-1 sp between any puff sts, ch 2 (does not count as a st), cluster st in the same sp, ch 2, *cluster st in the next ch-1 sp between two puff sts, ch 2; rep from * around, join with a sl st to the beg cluster st, fasten off. (16 clusters sts)
Rnd 4: Join yarn with a sl st to any ch-2 sp, ch 4 (counts as the first tr), 2 tr in the same sp, *(3 dc in the next ch-2 sp, 3 hdc in the next ch-2 sp, 3 dc in the next ch 2 sp, [3 tr, ch 2, 3 tr] all in the next ch-2 sp for corner) rep from * 2 more times, 3 dc in the next ch-2 sp, 3 hdc in the next ch-2 sp, 3 dc in the next ch 2 sp, 3 tr in the same sp as beg tr, ch 2, join with a sl st to the top of the beg ch 4, fasten off. (24 dc, 12 hdc, 24 tr, 4 ch-4 sps)
