Welcome! I am so excited to finally open the doors to the brand-new D60crochet website.

When I set out to redesign this space, I kept one simple truth in mind: crochet is more than just yarn and a hook. It’s about creating heirloom pieces, learning new techniques, and enjoying a quiet moment of mindfulness. At D60crochet, my mission is to share patterns worth keeping, making, gifting, and passing on.

I wanted our online home to feel just as cozy, organized, and inviting as a favorite crafting nook. Here is a quick tour of what you’ll find around the new site:

To mark the grand opening, I wanted to gift you something bright, timeless, and fun to work on. Meet the Sunburst Granny Square, a beloved classic in the crochet world, this motif combines rich, tactile texture with vibrant color play to create a striking, sun-like design that radiates from the center out. Whether you’re crafting a cozy blanket, a chic tote bag, or a statement cardigan, this square brings an instant burst of joy to any piece.

Don’t let the detailed look fool you, if you know your basic stitches (ch, sc, dc, tr) and are ready to try a couple of fun technique upgrades, you can handle this pattern!

The special stitches,  Puff Stitch and Cluster Stitch, are simple once you get into the rhythm. They are essentially just variations of pulling up loops and working stitches together. If you’ve been wanting to step outside standard stitches and build your confidence, this is the perfect project to practice on.
